Venture Club

Venture Club takes place from September to April.  It is an opportunity for neighborhood children between the ages of kindergarten to sixth grade to come after school from 3:30 to 5 pm on Wednesdays.  They enjoy a play time and snacks first, followed by singing praise songs.  A Bible story is presented in the form of a drama, after which children go to classes to talk about the Bible lesson and have a craft activity.  On several occasions during the year parents are invited for special events.

Christmas Program

The whole cast of the program sings a Christmas song.

At the annual Christmas Program in December, the children are given parts to play in a drama about the story of the birth of Jesus.  Families are invited to come and watch the final presentation and join in a Christmas service, with refreshments provided afterward.

End of the Year Party

The group listens intently to Curt Dorsing at the party.

At the end of the year, the kids enjoy a pizza party and play many games to celebrate another year of Venture Club completed.  Kids are given prizes in accordance with goals and achievements met throughout the year, such as Bible verse memorization.  Kids are encouraged to continue reading their Bibles over the summer, and to come back next year!
